I am a Visiting Assistant Professor of Economics at the University of Arkansas. I obtained a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Houston. My research interests are primarily in Macroeconomics. My current research focuses on inequality, environmental and energy economics, and public finance. Specifically, I seek to understand how economic shocks and policies impact households across different income and wealth groups using quantitative macroeconomic models informed by microdata. I am also interested in topics related to growth and development and labor economics.
I received a Bachelor's degree in Economics in 2016 and a Master's degree in Economics in 2017 from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh.
